News Title NOW OPEN - Historical Society Museum

The Historical Society Museum opened on May 1st and is now open to the public Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturdays from 8am to Noon.

Housed on the first floor of the historic Montgomery News building in the southwest corner of Courthouse Square, the Museum houses a large collection of historical objects and memorabilia of Montgomery County. These objects will be on display during the regular business hours of Books & Moore.

Also a part of the display is a digital slideshow of historic photos of Montgomery County.

Our thanks to John Pearson for his generosity in allowing a portion of his extensive collection to be displayed, to Jim May and Mike Rappe for their hard work in assembling the collection and to Jeff Dunn for his assistance with the digital photo display.
